What is your association with Fora?

I am an independently affiliated advisor of Fora Travel Agency. I am trained and certified through Fora and have access to countless resources, as well as a community of experienced advisors from all walks of life.

What is Fora Travel?

Fora is a modern travel agency with a twist – one that is thoughtfully designed, proactively inclusive, tech-driven and well, cool. We make it dead simple for you to travel like an insider, with killer perks and data-driven recommendations – all for the same price as doing the heavy lifting yourself.

What is a Travel Advisor? Is it the same as a Travel Agent?

Yep! Over the past few years, industry players have rebranded as travel advisors to reflect the level of personalization and care we put into planning each trip. Like a financial advisor, we’re real experts. We can create your trip from scratch or help book what you’ve already decided on, and everything in between.

Do you book airfare?

I can – but specialize in the on-the-ground experience, accommodation and activities. Many customers choose to book their own airfare. I can also assist you in using airline or transferable points for your flights.

How much do you charge?

I don’t charge anything for most travel bookings. Travel advisors receive commissions from the properties and travel providers, at no additional cost to you. In fact, I’ll always find the best available rate so you can be confident you’re getting a great deal.

For more complicated multi-stop itineraries, I will charge a planning fee. Please see Services for more information.

When am I charged?

It depends on the hotel or travel provider. Most hotels require a credit to hold a room, but some also charge a deposit upon making the reservation. Before I release your payment information, I’ll always let you know your chosen hotel’s deposit and cancellation policies so there are no surprises.

Is there a best price guarantee?

Hotels are required to offer price parity, but occasionally you may see a different rate from an online travel agency than the one advertised on the hotel’s website. That happens very rarely, but when it does, I do my best (i.e., contact the property directly) to ensure the property honors the same price.

How long does it take to plan a trip?

It depends. Some are extra easy and can be organized in an hour, while others include many different moving parts and might take weeks.

Who do I contact if I have any problems or questions with my booking?

Reach out to me directly, so I can resolve any issues or provide clarification about your bookings.
